What this is all about

Preface

CAROLA will be a free GPL solution for (REAL) unattend installation of operating systems. The first release will include support for linux and windows (win2k, winxp) as target operating systems and mainly linux, win32 as server operating systems. The project can be roughly seperated in two big parts.

• a linux pre installation environment (kernel, initrd) Will be started via DHCP/PXE/TFTP with the task to prepare the client for installation
• a PXE bootservice Server (highly customizable, Wired for Management PXE Specification 2.1 or higher) with the ability to control the boot behaviour of the clients
